Fiore del Devero®

"An ancient recipe, written on a small parchment and found between the pages of an old book..." The flagship of the now historic Pasticceria Fior D'Alpe, opened way back in 1984 by the then 21-year-old Umberto Sartori and still present inside the Vecchio Scarpone, the Fiore del Devero® is a soft pastry cake in which we find the products grown for centuries in our valleys.

At Albergo Vecchio Scarpone you can buy the Fiore del Devero® in the classic gift box or enjoy a slice accompanied by a hot chocolate or tea at our Bar.

INGREDIENTS

The Fiore del Devero® dough is made from "00" wheat flour, chestnut flour and rye flour, which were once ground in our valley, to which are added whole fresh eggs, butter, sugar, chopped walnuts, dark chocolate flakes, grappa and honey.
